2016 National Midget Auto Racing Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

Before the Friday night racing action at the 30th annual Chili Bowl Nationals, the National Midget Auto Racing Hall of Fame (NMARHoF) held their 32nd annual induction ceremony at the Exchange Center on the Tulsa State Fairgrounds.

Pat Sullivan and Jim Childers skillfully performed their masters of ceremonies duties as they alternated presentations of each of the eight inductees during the well-paced multi-media ceremony. The inductees included:

·         Boots Archer

·         Tommy Hunt

·         Ed & Zeke Justice

·         Wendell Kelley

·         Roy Morrison

·         Jim Rieder

·         Randy Roberts

·         Bobby Unser

Six of the inductees or their family members were present and shared memories of the inductees after each presentation which added a personal touch to each induction. Unfortunately, surviving family members for the late United Racing Association (URA) President Roy Morrison and the late Northeastern Midget Association (NEMA) Secretary Treasurer and Scorer Wendell Kelley were unable to attend.
